what's on rome As part of the ongoing series of art events organised by MACRO, the museum of contemporary art in Rome, a meeting with Turkish curator Vasif Kortun will be held on 12 May. Kortun, who is currently director of the Platform Garanti at the Centre of Contemporary Art in Istanbul, will discuss among other things aspects of recent artistic production in Turkey. The event, which is entitled 'Looking in both directions or towards those diverging: contemporary art in Turkey and in the Mediterranean in relation to Europe' starts at 18.00 and entry is free.
The next event in the series is a meeting with Clive Kellner, director of the Johannesburg Art Gallery in South Africa, which takes place on 26 May. "
