As shoppers admire the richness of Middle Eastern rugs, exquisite jewelry and fine leathercraft at this week's Turkish Bazaar, their most treasured purchase might be a cookbook.
Nur Ilkin, co-author of A Taste of Turkish Cuisine, is one of the guests from Turkey who will be at L.V. Harkness & Co., 531 West Short Street, today through Saturday.
Ilkin, wife of the Turkish ambassador to the United Nations, Baki Ilkin, learned to cook from her grandmother. She became more focused on cooking when she wanted to prepare Turkish meals for her diplomat husband."
