"French Minister against Expanding EU
Paris, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy called on the European Union not to admit any new members until the 25-strong bloc consolidates its community institutions.
Sarkozy was clearly referring to the Turkish bid to enter the EU.
France has strongly opposed Turkish entry into the European bloc and according to Paris media, this was one of the causes for the failure of the European Constitution referendum."
