For some people the top issue of the day could be whether a certain actress would have a baby this year, what the (God save all men from such) �mother in law� Semra would do to prospective brides for her �mommy's son� or what has happened, or did not happen, in a certain episode of one of the endless soap operas occupying almost the entire prime time of all TV channels.
