"Muslims Unfairly Targeted in EU
Brussels, IRNA -- A British member of the European Parliament says that after the 9/11/01 events in the US, Muslims in Europe are being victimized by the governments in European Union states.
'In the post-9/11 situation, the everyday lives of Muslims in Europe are becoming very difficult. Governments across the European Union have enacted laws which are contrary and go against internationally recognized values of human rights,' Sajjad Karim told IRNA in an interview in Brussels.
He noted that the Muslim community in Europe is the largest minority group. "
