"Cypriot ambassador calls for hotel boycott

Hotels owned by Greek Cypriots but operated by Turkish Cypriots in Northern Cyprus should be boycotted, Ambassador of Cyprus to Israel, George Zodiates, said in an address at a dinner hosted by the Cyprus Tourism Organization in Tel Aviv on Wednesday night.
The island-state, divided since the 1974 invasion of the Turkish army, recently saw an opening of crossing points along the cease-fire line separating the two communities. This has increased the flow of tourists entering Cyprus from the government-controlled ports and airports in the south to the north of the country."
