Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice assured Turkish leaders Sunday that the U.S. takes seriously concerns about the future of neighboring Iraq, where Turkey fears Kurdish moves toward independence could unsettle the region.
``I reiterated the commitment of the United States to a unified Iraq, a territorial integrity of Iraq, to an Iraq that is at peace with its neighbors,'' Rice told reporters in Ankara, the fourth stop on her mostly European tour. "
