Following recent property tax hikes, the Istanbul Greater Municipality is to gain a new source of income with the appropriation of historical buildings in Istanbul under a new bill.
Reports yesterday indicated that a new bill, amending the Bosphorus Development Law, stipulates that the ownership of historical buildings will be transferred from the Treasury to the Istanbul Greater Municipality. "
