In a step to fight crime by gaining the confidence of Turks living in the UK, British police will be taught Turkish as part of a new program called Operation Rhine.
This new initiative will give British officers a grounding in Turkish, the ability to liaise with Turkish counterparts abroad and help to build better relationships with the Turkish-speaking community and Turkish businessmen, a London newspaper reported."
