"TURKEY: ISTANBUL GATHERING TO FOCUS ON GENDER EQUALITY
Istanbul, 24 May (AKI) - Delegates and women rights activists from Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Spain will discuss gender equality at a two-day conference beginning on Thursday in Istanbul. The gathering, organised by Turkey's Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGIDER) is entitled 'Women on the way to EU' and will be held at Istanbul's Bahcesehir University. Also scheduled to attend are government officials from European countries who like Turkey are involved in negotiations for European Union membership as well as representatives from the EU Commission, the EU Parliament. "
