Deputy Prime Minister Sener reminds AKP deputies that their leader was the first to visit the tsunami-affected region

Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener said on Tuesday that Turkey was a force for peace, not a source of instability, in the region. He also noted that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was the first world leader to have visited tsunami-devastated South Asia.
Sener, speaking at the Justice and Development Party (AKP) parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday, said Erdogan took TL 44 trillion worth of aid to the region, adding that the assistance would continue. He said many Turkish aid agencies and public and private organizations were working in South Asia, �Just as the people expect us to do.� "
