"Turkey Conveys Its Concerns to EU

Turkey sends ambassador Osman Koruturk to Brussels in order to discuss concerns about recent developments in Iraq.
Turkey's Special Envoy to Iraq Koruturk will meet with the European Union (EU) Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and the European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner. Diplomatic sources say that Turkey occassionally negotiates with the European Union (EU) regarding events in the region and Koruturk will meet with Benita Ferrero-Waldner for this reasons. Turkey had announced that it maintains its right to intervene in northern Iraq if the Kurds try to take Kerkuk by force, however the EU harshly warns Ankara against any intevention. "
