"Turkey expects EU to make unconditional decision on entry talks

ANKARA, Dec. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- The Turkish government said on Tuesday that Turkey expected the European Union (EU) to make an unconditional decision to open entry talks with Turkey in 2005 without any delay.
A statement released by the Presidential Press Center urged the EU to fulfill its commitment to launching Turkey's entry talks without any delay.
'Turkey has taken important and comprehensive steps to fulfil the necessary Copenhagen political criteria after its candidacy was officially announced at the EU Helsinki Summit in 1999,' said the statement. "
