"First Kosebasi outside Turkey in Baku
The well-known chain of Turkish restaurants Kosebasi, which has earned itself tremendous popularity with its kebabs, is starting to extend its reach into Azerbaijan, the first country outside Turkey the restaurant has opened a restaurant in.
A Kosebasi restaurant has been operating in the center of Baku (11 Aziz Aliyev Street - near the Azerbaijan Cinema) for two months. The chain operates nine restaurants in Turkey's Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. The 10th restaurant is off the beaten track and happens to be in Azerbaijan. Our correspondent Lala Alizada has talked to the president of the Azerbaijan branch of Kosebasi, Mehmet Talat Tanfer. Tanfer, 29, went to school in Geneva, Switzerland, and studied economics at the University of Boston, Massachusetts. He then returned to Turkey to head his family's Health Center business."
