Since 1999, when Turkey became a candidate to join the European Union, the nation has made a commitment to democratization.
Part of keeping that commitment is to educate its police force on new ways of doing its job. To that end, two Turkish police officers are visiting the St. Cloud Police Department this week to observe how police workis done in the United States."
