"Turkish Entrepreneur Donates Garments to Students

The Addis Izmir Textile Factory owned by a Turkish entrepreneur-investor yesterday donated complete sets of garments to 500 students of Akaki High School, which has been chosen as the sister school of a Turkish college in Ankara, Turkey.

The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Addis Ababa said the same Turkish enterprise has already provided garments to 600 Arba Minch children recently, through its factory in that region.

The enterprise pledged to continue this activity for other schools in the country, starting from Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa through its factories in these cities. It would also prepare materials to be distributed to the children of war displaced people in areas in the border districts in Tigray.

The Embassy said it considers this activity as a modest, but friendly symbol of cooperation between the two countries."
