Ahead of the October start of Turkey's membership talks with the European Union, the European Parliament will host a conference in September on the controversial Kurdish issue in Turkey, private NTV reported yesterday.
The two-day conference on Sept. 19-20 in Brussels, during which human rights issues in Turkey including judicial, democratic and parliamentary reforms will be discussed, is a follow-up to a conference held last November."
