It is always a delight to read an opinion article like Philip Gordon's ("Cyprus is a poor excuse for turning away Turkey," Views, Aug. 18) that is not only 100 percent accurate, but also blunt and loud, since the European Union's recent attitude toward Turkey justifies shaving the diplomatic cuteness."
