In July, the New Turkish Lira reached a record level of the last 25 years in the consumer price index and of the last 20 years in producer price index.
Real effective exchange rate in CPI rose to the level of 162,9 last month and reached its highest level since January 1980. In January 1980, the real effective exchange rate in CPI was at the level of 176,4. And the real effective exchange rate in PPI rose to 146,8 in July and reached its highest level since March 1985 when the level hit 148,8."
