"Ugurlu back in 'World Capital'

The New Anatolian / Istanbul

Tuluyhan Ugurlu's show entitled 'Istanbul the World Capital' is set to be performed next week at the Istanbul Archeology Museum.

Due to the intense demand and interest in this most recent work of Ugurlu, the show will be performed once again in the historical atmosphere of the Archeology Museum garden on Aug. 23 at 9:00 p.m.

"Istanbul the World Capital" is an impressive work combining music with visuals. It tells the story and the culture of Istanbul through emotional stories. The concert highlighted with nearly 200 photographs, paintings and gravures will feature Ugurlu's solo performance accompanied by artists of the Culture Ministry, namely Mehmet Refik Kaya on rebab (two-stringed fiddle), Murat Toraman on flageolet, Savas Karaman on baglama (plucked instrument with three double strings) and Mithat Arisoy on drums.

In the second part of the concert entitled "The City Where Three Religions Live in Fellowship," the music of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic religions will be played together."
