"EU Supports Projects for Counter Terrorism

The European Union (EU) Commission has reported that the Commission will spend 250 million euros a year to support some projects aiming fight against terrorism.
The Commission noting that the terror threats on railways and public transportation systems in European Union countries have increased touched upon the importance of the research into security. The EU will spend 15 million euros on 13 projects developed to counter terrorism in the first phase. The Commission, which is conscious of the fact that “the probability of terror attacks, where chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear explosives will be used in subways, are a crucial threat and a danger
for EU citizens,” has declared that the projects aiming to monitor and determine the threats are being supported. "
