"Brok to CDU: Don't use Turkey's EU bid for campaign fodder
BERLIN - Turkey's membership in the European Union should not be used an election campaign fodder for the upcoming German general elections, said Elmar Brok, member of the German Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Party on Friday. The German general elections are scheduled for Sept. 18.
'It's not right to use Turkey as an issue on election campaign signs and in party brochures,' said Brok, who is also chairman of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. "
