A three-day meeting has concluded in Ankara on the subject of streamlining the Turkish military over the next 10 years. Issues being discussed were the promoting and retiring some of the top armed security officials, which would affect the military leadership of the forthcoming 10 year period, reported the Anatolian news agency. As has been previously reported by Hurriyet, commander of the naval forces Admiral Ozden Ornek and commander of the air force general Ibrahim Firitina have both been asked to retire."
