Hansjoerg Kretschmer, head of the EU Commission delegation to Turkey, said yesterday that terrorist activities in southeastern Anatolia should be stopped but warned that the Turkish government must walk a thin line in the anti-terror struggle to ensure that the rule of law and human rights principles are respected."
