"ITALY-TURKEY: FINI MEETS WITH ITALIAN COMMUNITY IN ISTANBUL
(AGI) - Istanbul, Turkey, July 14 - Italy's Foreign Minister and Deputy Premier, Gianfranco Fini, arrived this morning in Istanbul for the second and final leg of his official visit to Turkey. Fini will meet local business leaders and members of the local Italian community. Before departing for Istanbul, Fini met the President of the Turkish Parliament, Boulec Arinc in Ankara. Yesterday he also met the Premier, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic, Akhmet Rezer and the Foreign Minister, Abdullah Gul. On the table for discussion were the negotiations for Turkey's application to join the EU and the fight against International terrorism. (AGI) .
