In Turkey's European Union accession process, one of the main issues of concern will undoubtedly be agriculture, which represents a huge problem in economic, social and political terms. There is a big gap between Turkey and EU and other developed countries' agricultural data. Harmonization with the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) requires many changes and sacrifices from Turkey. Nevertheless, the situation is not as bad as been said since Turkey has considerable potential for organic agriculture."
