"Turkey Should Become A Regional Base For U.S. Investments, Nas
ANKARA - ''Turkey's real goal should be becoming 'a regional base' for U.S. investments and trade,'' Adnan Nas, the Chairman of Turkish-American Businessmen's Association, said on Sunday.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A, Nas said that Turkish private sector should also exert efforts to get more share from U.S. foreign trade volume worth 3 trillion USD.
Nas stated that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's scheduled visit to the United States in coming days would help inform U.S. investors about Turkey and Turkish economy.
Turkey exported goods worth 4.8 billion USD to the United States, while imported goods worth 4.7 billion USD from this country in 2004.
Turkey mainly imports industrial products from the United States, and exports textile to this country."
