"�Turkey should not be in EU�

Athens, Jan. 22: French far-right leader Jean-Marie El Pen warned on Saturday that allowing Turkey to enter the European Union will threaten the independence and even the very existence of EU member Greece.
Speaking at news conference hosted in Athens by the extreme right Hellenic Front which opposes Turkey�s bid to join the European Union, Mr Le Pen said that Turkey�s swelling population would soon spill over into neighbouring Greece and Cyprus.
'Turkey will increase its settlements in Cyprus and will begin to colonise Greek islands in the south-eastern Aegean,' the National Front leader said. 'They now have a population of 70 million, by 2025 Turkey�s population will rise to 200 million ... This will threaten even the very existence of Greece,' he added."
