The Turkish foreign minister says they seek a lasting solution
Turkey believes the latest UN plan for Cyprus, voted down by the island's Greek community in April, could still help solve the division of the island that has threatened Ankara's European Union bid.
Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said in a television interview on Sunday, referring to the blueprint prepared by United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan: 'The plan is still valid as far as we are concerned.'"
