Jewish-Turkish ties at core of international conference in Istanbul
For the first time, eminent dignitaries including UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova joined historians and experts from Turkey, the United States, Israel, Germany and France to examine and discuss not only the little-known story of the Jewish scholars, but also the wider historical ties between Jews and Turks.
