Turkey stiffens stance over Cyprus EU presidency

TURKEY stiffened its public stance on the upcoming Cypriot Presidency of the EU, reaffirming that Ankara- Brussels relations will effectively be halted for six-months.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that unless a solution to the Cyprus problem is not reached by the 1st of July, Turkey would not resume its EU membership negotiations “even if 20 chapters were opened.”
