Recent hikes in public transit fares in the Turkish capital are causing concerns among bus drivers that more residents might choose other transportation alternatives as a result. The heads of the Ankara public and minibus chambers, however, believe the 5 percent increase in prices is warranted due to the surge in the price of diesel fuel and supply parts."
