Caravan vacation enthusiasts choose Turkey over many other destinations for its virgin coasts, safety and low prices.
Turkey is heaven for camping, according to the Web sites and camping-related magazines of members of the Europe Camp Caravan Club, who are mostly retired. For example, Italian Guido Pecol, who has been coming to Turkey for the past 21 years, says he has picked a small village called Tasucu, located in Silifke in the region of Mersin, as his camping ground. Pecol says following his retirement he bought a caravan and began traveling the world with his wife. After visiting many Mediterranean countries, Pecol says Turkey is unique, with its friendly people, safe camping grounds and natural beauty. He added, �Italy and Spain are also beautiful countries, but we couldn't find the peace and comfort we find in Turkey there.� "
