* Iraqi President Talabani, who has been in New York to attend the 61st United Nations (UN) General Assembly meeting, stated that the PKK would announce a cease-fire in the next couple of days, in a statement he made to New York based news magazine Newsweek. Any negotiation with terrorist organizations is unacceptable for any state, and the PKK is considered terrorist organisation by Iraq, US, EU and Turkey."
