Each Turkish soldier sent to Lebanon will be paid a salary of US$1028 per month. United Nations General Secretary, Kofi Annan, has thanked Turkey for the 1000 troops she plans to send to Lebanon to join the temporary peace-keeping force (UNIFIL).
