"Turkey finalizes education and culture position paper for EU
Turkey has finalized its position paper on the education and culture chapter of its accession negotiations with the European Union.
Diplomatic sources said that Turkey's EU chief negotiator and State Minister Ali Babacan has submitted the final draft to ministers for approval and that in a couple of days it will be conveyed to the EU.
The European Commission sent Turkey a letter late April stating that the screening process on the education and culture chapter was successfully concluded and that the EU is now ready to open actual negotiations on that chapter. The Commission asked Turkey to present its position paper."
