WHITTIER - Joining a talk about Turkey's entry into the European Union seemed a topic well within John Frantz's repertoire.
As an avid reader and seeker of knowledge, the 70-year-old Whittier resident thought it was a subject he knew something about.
But after attending his first 'Great Decisions' discussion at the First Friend's Church in Whittier Wednesday, Frantz realized he had something to learn.
'I didn't realize how much I didn't know,' said Frantz, who only recently expanded his intellectual areas of interest from philosophy and religion to politics."
