The Turkish economy is moving away from labor-intensive manufacturing sectors.
The rise in imports of intermediate and capital goods reflects the pace of output growth that has exceeded even above-consensus estimates, and more significantly, the structural changes in the composition of industrial production, Serhan Cevik, an economist with investment bank Morgan Stanley, said in a report from Ankara."
