A young woman said today she was prepared to give up her life in Norwich to marry her Turkish boyfriend, who is still waiting for a visa to allow him to stay in Britain.
Oral Sengonul, 26, applied for one nearly two years ago, but cannot plan his future because the Home Office has yet to respond.
His fiancee, Melanie Chapman, 21, said she would go to Turkey to marry him and that living anywhere else would be better than in Britain because of the way their lives had been ruined by the Home Office delay in sorting out visa cases. "
