"Austrian campaign to veto Turkey's EU entry wins 200,000 supporters

The Austrian right-wing Freedom Party, which has launched a campaign against Turkey's membership in the European Union, announced late Monday that it had gathered some 200,000 signatures of support.
Heinz Christian Strache, the leader of the party, stated that although they had only expected to collect some 100,000 signatures, results indicate that enthusiasm about the issue is higher than predicted. He also stated that the final results of the petition, launched March 6, will be announced early Wednesday."
