"Ankara uncomfortable with Annan statement on Cyprus
Ankara has expressed discomfort with recent statements from United Nations General Secretary Kofi Annan which it feels could be interpreted as indications that Annan and the international community were waiting for new efforts from Turkey on the Cyprus front. According to reports, Turkey has relayed this discomfort through diplomatic channels to Annan in New York. "
