"Ankara receives advance support from Baradei on nuclear power
The president of the International Atomic Energy Commission, Mohammed El Baradei, has said publicly that he would support Ankara's quest for nuclear energy. Baradei's statement comes at a time when the world press is focused on Iran's controversial attempts to start up its own purportedly peaceful nuclear program. Baradei did not, within this framework, that Turkey's role in the tension with Iran over nuclear power was big, saying 'I see no other country which can successfully bring about dialogue between the two sides.'"
