Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle wants to further intensify relations with Turkey. During his inaugural visit to Ankara, Westerwelle spoke of a strategic dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries.With regard to Turkey’s accession process to the European Union Westerwelle emphasized, “What has been agreed between the EU and Turkey is still valid.”"
