"Kurds and Azerbaijanis clash in Igdir, dozens arrested
Igdir – APA. Arrest of the municipality chairman of the Turkey’s province of Igdir Mehmet Nuri Gunesh and seven members of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) caused tensions in Igdir. A group of parliamentarians and municipality officials from BDP issued statement for media at first and then they broke windows of shops owned by Azerbaijanis. Police used tear gas to prevent unrests. There were disputes between the rioters and police. BDP parliamentarian threatened police that they would continue the protest action. Police asked for additional forces."
