"Turkish army defends missile purchase plan

ANKARA: The Turkish military on Friday defended a plan to buy a costly anti-missile system as a means of “deterrence”, but stressed no particular country was seen as a threat, Anatolia news agency reported.
“The missiles are not aimed at any specific country,” army spokesman General Metin Gurak said, according to Anatolia."
