The face of Turkey has changed, perhaps forever. This Saturday the Turkish parliament voted 403 in favour and 107 against out of the total of 550 MPs for a constitutional change which would permit an easing of the ban on “hijabs” or headscarves worn by women of the Islamic faith in public."
