"Turkish airlines introduces e-ticketing in Nigeria

Ten months after beginning operations in Nigeria, Turkish Airline has introduced electronic ticketing (e-Ticketing) system to ease purchase and safety of tickets got from the airline. Reacting,the airline's managing Director, Lagos, Hasan Mutlu, said 'even though it has been only 10 months since we started our operations, as at 1st June 2007 , passengers are able to buy Electronic Ticket, which eliminates problems like losing the ticket. In addition to this, passengers are able to buy their tickets on line, make all requests on line, such as seat selection, meal selection and so on and make check-in online which is a time saving development' he added Mutlu noted that every effort will be made to give better service to the passengers, 'which is why we have ensured that we begin e-ticketing here in Nigeria and as demanded by the International Air Transport Association, IATA.'"
