The appointment of special Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) coordinators by both the U.S. and Turkey to tackle the recent rise in terrorist activities in Turkey is among the hottest topics of recent debate.
Opposition parties have resisted the plan on grounds that this would mean recognizing the PKK as a legitimate side.
However this is not a new scenario for those who remember 13 years ago. The only difference is the players in the various roles."
