"Police foil alleged plot against Turkish premier

Police in Turkey have foiled an alleged plot to attack premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and have detained nine suspects, including military officers, newspapers reported today.
Authorities in Ankara were not available for comment, but the semi-official Anatolia news agency said the suspects were “allegedly planning an attack against a politician”."
