"Cyprus and democratization of Muslim world tops Turkey's OIC agenda
Turkish leaders used the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) platform to give crucial messages on the issues of Cyprus and the democratization process in the Middle East .
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that Ankara would take no further new steps until the end of the international embargo against the Turkish Cypriots. Both Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc, on the other hand, called for an intensification of efforts by Muslim countries to develop democracy during their speeches in the opening ceremony of the Fourth Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC (PUIOCM) countries."
